Crimson Flower

    ~Crimson Flower~

That day there were scattered petals
And seeds to be sown

When light faded from sight
Only darkness rose
And remained ever-present

Betrayal birthed betrayal
And now
Bitter as a soured fruit
The seed has blossomed

Desolation
Deception
Subjugation born of fear

At last
To sever a thick thread
The knife was thrown

Now
Shadows blaze and burn
Sever light and lay
Dormant

Vivid crimson
Darkest black
A being of the night
A complex existence

To shoulder it all
Even now
There’s a single soul

Guilt
Madness
Rage

From these depths of turmoil
A dark red blossomed

Vines of roses
Dared to ensnare
A thorned crimson
Birthing seeds
And bright white blooms

Hope
Love
Redemption

A mixed white and crimson
Reaching toward something

Steps carry on

And can then two sides
Join at the center seam?
Can two stories
Create an ancient book?

A crimson flower
Bearing all

Hope and Hate
Redemption and Subjugation
Queen and Monster

Finally before
The greatest moment
A fearless darkness
Stands to burn
Through the cloudy unknown
